The village is surrounded by peaceful forests and the Maures mountains. A smooth and straight road takes you straight into Plan de la Tour from the D25 when coming from/to the airport.

Plan de la Tour is reached from Nice airport by the A8 autoroute and exiting at the Le Muy turn-off and dropping down a few kilometres towards St Maxime. Travel time from the Nice Airport is just an hour or so by car. The heavy traffic in the summer on the coast road can be completely avoided by using this route making Plan de la Tour the most convenient place to stay in Summer, yet Ste Maxime is only a few minutes away and others such as Nice, Cannes, Monaco etc are around an hour away.
